In "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe, repitition is the device that plays the larger role. He uses repitition when he says "Nevermore". It plays the larger role to cause a lot of suspense for the reader.

In "The Incident in the Rose Garden", by Donald Justice, Imagery is the device that plays a larger role. He uses Imagrey when he says," Death grinned, and his eyes lit up with the pale glow of those lanterns That workmen carry sometimes To light their way through the dusk." It plays a larger role because it creates an image in your head and it makes the poem more interesting to the reader as well.
